Food for thought...

"It's extraordinary to me that the United States can find $700 billion to save Wall Street and the entire G8 can't find $25 billion dollars to saved 25,000 children who die every day from preventable diseases."

- Bono, rock star and anti-poverty activist. (Source: The American Prospect blog)

We're all to blame. Who is willing to give up their needs for those of others?

The Pentagon alone spends more than $1 billion everyday.. instead it can save 1,000 children everyday who die from preventable diseases.

I might sound blonde saying this, but what's the concept of money anyways? All it is is a bunch of paper being spit out of a huge money machine...couldn't a couple little bills be spit out here and there for the starving people of the world?...instead of for that extra car to fill the extra space in a person's garage?

yes yes..I understand that by doing that it would decrease the worth of the money and more people would be in debt as a result of it blah blah blah.. :) I was just thinking out loud.
